Is it time for an alternative to IE?

After successfully dethroning Netscape Navigator as king of the browsers, and avoiding antitrust-related penalties, Microsoft faces a new challenge as Internet Explorer becomes a frequent target for hackers.

Microsoft's browser dominance is not likely to be at risk, but the growing number of individuals and companies choosing to install and use alternatives to IE has one very important implication for web sites.
